This North Coast riding holiday exemplifies Ireland’s North Coast - white sand beaches, enchanting forests, rugged coastlines, historic castles and villages, and of course, genuine Irish hospitality.
The Causeway Coast is known for its spectacular scenery, and this route includes iconic locations such as Giants Causeway, Dunlace Castle, Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge, and Mussendun Temple.
Horses
Ireland is known as the “Land of the Horse” for its horses’ reputation for bravery, agility, stamina, intelligence, and gentleness. Guests’ mounts will be Irish Sport Horses, Connemara Ponies, Irish Cobs, and Irish Draughts.

Riders should be able to ride comfortably at all paces, and spend several hours in the saddle daily.

B&B accommodations have been selected for comfort and service, located in coastal villages along the Causeway Coast. This is a progressive trip, so riders will stay in several accommodations over the course of the trip.

Ireland’s vibrant and progressive food scene is exemplified by this itinerary, and riders will experience creative and classically-inspired dishes created with locally sourced ingredients and fresh-caught seafood. Dietary requirements may be catered to with advance notice.

Arrive on the North Coast. Begin your stay with a drive along the Coaseway Coastal Route to get a taste of what you will experience over the course of your stay. Accommodation in B&B, County Antrim.

Arrive at the farm and meet the horses, head out for an introductory ride and assessment. Climb to the summit of the Croaghan with a panoramic view over Ireland. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea at the farm. Transportation to accommodation at Castlerock in County Londonderry.

Begin at Castlerock Beach and head down the white sands of Downhill & Benone Beach against the backdrop of magnificent cliffs with views across the water to Scotland and County Donegal. Canter towards Mussenden Temple and explore the Temple and Downhill Demesne on foot. Accommodation in B&B, County Antrim.

From Whiterocks Beach in Portrush, ride to Dunlace Castle. Enjoy a tour of the ruins before riding to the coastal town of Portballintrae, a UNESCO world-heritage site. Accommodation in B&B, County Antrim.

Today’s ride begins at Whitepark bay near the village of Ballintoy. Enjoy an Irish tearoom lunch in the village.
