Experience the rugged beauty of South Dakota's Black Hills by bringing your own horses on an unforgettable horseback riding adventure. Traverse the mesmerizing landscape and experience a piece of history with visits to Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. With your equine companions, explore scenic trails that wind through breathtaking forests and expansive vistas, creating memories that blend the thrill of riding with the natural splendor of this iconic destination.
Bring your own horse and we will take care of the rest. Meals around the campfire with fellow equestrians sharing a love for trail riding, nature, horses, and adventure.
Horses
Bring your own horse - All horses will be stabled in the barn. Please read the Guest Horse Guidelines if you plan to bring your horse. Owners are responsible for their own feed, cleaning, and care.
Riders of any discipline are welcome, but must be saddled (no bareback riding with the group). Riders must bring all their own tack and equipment.
Riding
Intermediate-Advanced. Since riders are bringing their own horses, a minimum of intermediate level riding is required. Accompanying non-riders are welcome to join for camping and meals.
Join a daily trail ride with Equescapes or ride out on your own or with your own group. All trail rides are optional and vary in length and duration.
Terrain
Wide open plains, to pine forests, to creek beds lined with meadows and cottonwood groves, to towering sandy bluffs. Trails vary from wide gravel roads to single dirt tracks.
Shoes or boots for horses are always recommended.

Dining
Hearty breakfasts and dinners with the group will be provided. Guests must provide their own lunches, snacks, and alcoholic beverages. Dietary restrictions, allergies, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free can all be accommodated with advanced notice.
Itinerary
Breakfast will be served each morning (location to be determined), followed by a trail ride until early afternoon. Afternoons will be free to do as you please, explore the park, ride out again, etc. until dinner time in the evening.
